Concordia Bus Fleet’s ongoing challenge lies in acquiring buses that both satisfy the clients’ requirements and can at the same time be utilized optimally during the bus’ useful life.
In the coming years, focus will largely be directed toward optimization of the bus fleet, both proactively and reactively. Processes and tools shall exist so that the bus fleet can always be utilized most effectively, which also takes place in collaboration with tendering efforts in which utilization of existing buses is an important component.
Successful optimization should also lead to the minimization of “standstill costs” i.e. costs of buses that are not in traffic – an area of great expectations in the forthcoming year. Another challenge is to maintain good prices in the sale of used buses on a shrinking sub-lease market.
